As soon as you unbox the Fit Pets Activity Monitoring Device, you’ll assemble it and download its app. That’s how you’ll get the readings and insights about your pet’s fitness and activity levels. The device actually attached to your dog’s collar and takes about 48 hours to give the first proper reading. We also figure that it takes at least two days before you have a full understanding of how it works.
Measuring the results
It was super interesting to see that our dogs don’t actually sleep that much during the day. They might be lying down and resting, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re getting their much needed quality sleep. In most cases, dogs get disturbed from their sleep when their owners are at home during the day. Thanks to the Fit Pets Activity Monitoring Device, we were able to see that our pets do get in quality sleep at night. As indicated by the app, that’s when they fall into that deep restorative sleep.
When you download the app, you can choose to set a daily activity goal for your pets. To reach your daily target, you’ll need to include things like daily play and walking or running of some sort in your pet’s routine.
We found that reading the results from the device was super easy to do since the app is really user friendly and explains everything down to a T. Your pet’s sleep is split up into light and deep sleep and the app explains the difference between the two and why each is important for your pet’s overall health. It also has a calorie burn calculator so you can see how much your pet burns off during the day compared to what he or she eats.

As mentioned earlier, one of the best things about this little gadget is its mood tracker. It actually shows you how your pet’s happiness levels increase with activities. While our pets were left home alone for a day, their mood rating was at a low 60. On days where they met their activity goals, their mood rating increased to a high of 80. Of course, the perfect balance is to fulfil your pet’s activity goals and have them reach their daily sleep goals.
Although the Fit Pets Activity Monitoring Device is crammed full of cool features, we love the fact that it’s 100% waterproof. This means that you can still track your dog’s activity levels even when they’re cooling off in the pool!
Final thoughts
The device is small and looks cool, plus it’s easy to assemble with a battery (similar to a watch battery), so there’s no need to charge the device every other day. It also easily clips onto your pet’s collar and doesn’t fall off. Your pet cat sleep, eat and play without the device disturbing them.
