Clinical Examinations

Your pet should receive a full clinical examination, to verify his or her health, before a vaccination. That takes a vet asking the right questions, and doing the right examinations. We will educate you about parasite control; help you by selecting effective and safe agents; and teach you about diet, dental health, and human health, as it relates to animal ownership.

Orange Grove Veterinary Hospital is a well established facility which has been servicing the pet owning community of the north eastern suburbs of Johannesburg since 1947. Our Gauteng hospital is situated in Fourways, Johannesburg and our Western Cape hospital is in Panorama, Cape Town. We also consult from the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Onderstepoort, near Pretoria. We are actively involved with the university lecturing both pre- and postgraduate veterinary students. In addition to consulting in Johannesburg and Pretoria, we hold referral clinics approximately every 3 months in Durban. We have also performed surgeries in Southern African countries such as Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia. We make regular consulting and surgery trips in The United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
