Practicing veterinarian, Liesel, was born in Pretoria where she completed her Bachelors degree in Science with zoology and genetics as majors. Thereafter she completed her Bachelors degree in Veterinary Science before moving to the Western Cape. After taking a break from Veterinary science in 2002 and studying at the Wine Academy in Stellenbosch, she received her certificate in Wine-making. Her only child was born in 2007 during which she studied Human Iridology and started practising Iridology on animals as part of her practice. Whalecoast Animal Consulting Rooms opened its doors in 2010 and has grown from a tiny little shop to a very successful practice and doggy parlour.
