Welcome to CapeCross Veterinary Services.

While working in the UK and gaining some valuable experience, Drs. Louis Hoek and Alf Lategan often dreamed of opening up their own practice in South Africa. The dream took shape and in 2009 they, along with their veterinarian wives, Drs Barbara Hoek and Magdalena Lategan, decided it was time to return home. Jeffrey’s Bay and the surrounding areas offered the perfect place to settle, and they became the proud owners of an existing mixed-animal practice in nearby Kareedouw, as well as a brand-new practice in Jeffrey’s Bay.

The practices have been blessed above measure and today we are thankful to consist of a brilliant team who can offer high-quality, comprehensive services to farmers and pet owners across the country.

At CapeCross we provide a full range of animal healthcare services. From preventative animal healthcare for companion animals and livestock to emergency and hospital care for injured or sick animals and consultation on a herd scale to optimize production and profit.

We also provide a service to veterinarians: administrative support for practices that join the CapeCross4Vets team so that the vets can focus on the clinical work and have more time to spend with their families.

CapeCross Veterinary Services currently consists of four practices across South-Africa that provide large-and small animal services. CapeCross4Vets was launched in July 2017, this gives vets the ability to own their own practice without the hassle of handling all the admin. Each practice has it's unique strength and area of expertise. All the practices provide the same high quality, personal service and strive to provide the best care possible.
